Well, the new school year starts tomorrow. It's 3 pm right now, and I'm still unemployed. Hurray!
In other news, I'm going to go check out Olympia tonight, for the wedding. At this point I don't even want to go, I have my heart set on The Other Place. But I'll go just to humor everyone else. Unless they can absolutely blow my mind there, but uhhh...given what the other place is like, I'm pretty frakking certain I'm going to say no to this place. ;)
Also: The Lion King, followed by a mini camping trip! Both awesome things are coming up soon. Not this weekend, but the next. The long weekend, of course. I can't wait! :D

Date: 2011-08-24 08:13 pm (UTC)I've been without insurance a bunch of times in my life, but it's not like we need to worry about paying hospital bills in this country, if anything terrible were to happen to us!

Date: 2011-08-24 08:46 pm (UTC)Keep in mind that there is a prescription drug plan for people without insurance in Quebec though, too! Like, whatever you end up paying for your meds without work insurance (if it comes to that, but hopefully not!) will still be discounted. The law in Quebec says that you have to belong to some kind of drug insurance plan - if you don't have one through work or (as a student) school, then you have to belong to the public one. Pretty sure that it means an extra $300 or so that you have to pay at tax time each year you're on it, but it does lower the cost of prescriptions from just the sticker price.
