That's right bitches, it's that time of year again! Mike's put a shitload of blood & sweat & who knows what else into this (he's been working 16~18-hour days for awhile now) so I can't wait to finally see it! They're putting on Macbeth this year, and it's in a modern setting (a high-rise on Wall Street). I love when Shakespeare is performed in a modern setting. ANYWAY, the show starts this weekend and runs through most of the month of August in various parks around Montreal (like always), and you can see the whole schedule here.

If you're going, let me know and we can go together. :) I'm definitely going more than once, it's soooo much fun. Blanket, wine, munchies...yay. :) I went 4 times last year. Or was it 5? Whatever. :P

I'm going this Friday at the Mount-Royal cemetery for sure. :) I also plan on going to the performances in NDG and Westmount, and probably one of the West Island ones.

Jealousssssss. They don't have the free ones here. My fave ever (was Mike involved in this one?) was about 4 or 5 years ago when they did Midsummer Night's Dream and it was in English, French and Cree...or Mohawk, I forget. It was just so beautiful though.

Mike only started getting involved last year, and they did Romeo & Juliet. It isn't free though, it's pay by donation. (Although, it IS your right to not pay anything, which I guess would make it free, lol.) Do they have Shakespeare in the Park in Gatineau, or do you go to Ottawa for it?

There is something in Ottawa, but you have to buy actual tickets to it and it's like 20$ or something! I think they hold it in small theatres, not parks. :(

Oh man, that sucks! If it's not in parks, that ruins the whole purpose. :(

Ooh! Ooh! Weather permitting and if I don't have softball (which at the moment I do not), I will go to the one in Pierrfonds next Friday... date?

Oooh! Next Friday is August 5th. I'm not 100% I'll make it to that one, as I'll be seeing it the next night at La Fontaine park, and I don't know if I'll be up for seeing it 2 nights in a row (not to mention I'm seeing it at Westmount that week as well). I guess it depends on how much I like the show, which I'll find out tonight! ;)

Lol, I meant can we make a date, not what is the date, lol...

Anyhoo, let me know if you'll be going. Do you still have my phone #'s?

I definitely won't be going to the Pierrefonds one. I'm supposed to be going to the 2 shows right after it (Parc Lafonatine on Saturday and NDG on Sunday) but I have a feeling I'll end up canceling at least one of those, if not both, due to my time of the month coming up now. :(
