As usual, my computer is being very WEIRD. I updated it, and now Winamp skips like crazy (as do all other media programs) when I try and listen to music or watch a movie. I'll never make it through the day without music and TV shows! What the heck do I do???????? You'd think updating the computer would make it better, not worse!

HELLLLLLP!!!!!! :(

It should have save a restore point so you could try reverting to that:

Not really sure what could have caused it otherwise.

Thanks for the tip! I think I'll just wait it out...this happened before, last summer, and I think the same thing had happened (I had just updated). It's good to know things like this exist though (a restore point), so thank you very much for the info. :)

It might be a shitty device driver update. Remove every USB device, hard drive, key etc so that you're just left with the keyboard and mouse plugged in, and see if it still skips. If no, then plug devices back in one by one until it starts skipping again, to find out which device driver is causing the problems. If yes, then I guess it's something else, but every time I've had this problem it's been a device driver.

Oops, I should have mentioned it's a laptop! Thanks for the reply though. I always appreciate it whenever someone takes the time to try and help. :) Cheers!
