Ahhhhhh, just got back from NYC and had a FANTASTIC time, the best part though OMG. OMG OMG OMG OMGGGG. THE BEST PART WAS SEEING WICKED. WICKED IS THE BEST THING EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I AM SO OBSESSED!!!!! It's like, the Lost of Broadway (as in how much I love it, they are NOT similar in any shape or form! hahahha)!

I paid $150 to sit in the second to last row on the floor, SLIGHTLY obscured view, up in the corner, AND IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY AND THEN SOME. I am going to go see that AT LEAST five more times. OMG. Next time I'm splurging for the $200 tickets.

OMG SHOWS DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS.

OMG WICKED, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

El oh el, I love this post! And I also love Wicked! Isn't that such a great show? I heard the music before seeing the play but was so-so, but the play in-person is SO GREAT, now I love all the songs because they help me remembering seeing it on stage.

Omg your icon!!! :D :D :D
I was able to sing the soundtrack in my sleep BEFORE seeing the show, but now I love it EVEN MORE, and I didn't know that was possible!

The show is PERFECT. JUST SO ABSOLUTELY FRAKKING PERFECT. I COULD TALK ABOUT IT ALL DAY LONG OMG WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE SONG????????

(Mine is Defying Gravity, but also No One Mourns the Wicked. What is This Feeling? and Popular are also really, really sweet and awesome!)

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH! Also: Mike and I are thinking, well it's pretty much decided, that Just For This Moment will be our first dance song at the wedding. :)

Was it your first time seeing it?

It totally totally kicks ASS!!

On a somewhat related note - can you believe I have never seen a Broadway show on Broadway?

It was my first time seeing it, yes! FINALLY! I've been waiting to see it since 2003! ;__;

I can't believe you've never seen a show on Broadway before! :( When's the last time you were in New York City?

The last time I was there was about 2 years ago when my uncle passed away. Obviously, that wasn't the time to go see a show, but I have a lot of family in the NYC area, so I really should get down there more often than I do.
I just don't want to drive there, or take a bus, and last time i was down, I went by train, and it took over 12 hours!! I definitely can't handle that again...

Oh man, 12 hours is insane! (Must be relaxing though.) If you don't mind my asking, why don't you want to drive there?

Whereabouts in NYC does your family live?

The traffic I have seen in NYC thus far in my life is just ri-DONK-ulous. I would fear for my life trying to drive through it, I think.

I have family in Queens, Brooklyn, and I believe a couple of folks in Manhattan too, but mostly Queens and Brooklyn.

OOoh! Whereabouts in Queens and Brooklyn? We stayed in Queens this time around, in Jamaica (the people there seemed sooooo NICE, omg). It's been a long, long time since I was last in Brooklyn, but I LOVE that place! ;_;

I don't know really... all i know is that there was no greenspace at my aunt's house. Even though she lives in an actual house, her front lawn had like no grass, and there was so little space between the houses that I could literally stand and touch 2 houses at the same time. I could never live like that.

Whoa! That is messed up! I can't imagine what that's like...definitely doesn't sound like an idea living situation to me. Except for the living in New York part. I think I'd be willing to live in a cardboard box just to live in NYC!
