Tams, Tron, & tuna

I'm going to Tams today! First time of the year. Mike & I are making tuna sandwiches. There's nothing of importance that is planned for today regarding Tron, I only decided to reference it in the subject line to make the alliteration sound better, and because I'm so obsessed anyway, why *not* mention it in passing?

You know where I FINALLY went last night? Amelio's. I had gone once before with dzuunmod, but that was five years ago! Mike's always wanted to try it, and we keep meaning to seeing as we LIVE ACROSS THE STREET FROM IT. There's usually a huge line-up though, and seeing as we can see it from our window, we know right away if we should bother or not. Last night Nat came over and we saw from the balcony there was no line-up, and so the three of us went. It was very yummy and because it's BYOB, we drank lots of wine and got pretty tipsy! Then Nat came over and we ended up watching Blue Velvet, as she loves David Lynch but has never seen that movie. It was my second time watching it and I swear I had to mentally prepare myself first, that movie is so beyond fucked-up and insane and claustrophobic and it just makes me feel so damn nervous and uncomfortable! Only an amazingly well-crafted movie is able to do THAT.

You guys have big plans for Canada Day? (If Canada Day and Weezer concert night are out, then we only have one night to hang out together! I'm there the nights of the 1, 2, 3 only!)

Well, we're doing the usual Ottawa thing for Canada Day, and the Weezer concert is the night of the 3rd, so that leaves the day time of the 3rd and the 2nd in its entirety wide open. :)

Also, you are more than welcome to come with us to Ottawa for Canada Day! ^.^

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm going to pass! We only have 3 days/nights in Montreal and then we're in Ottawa for a bunch of time. Plus, Hiedi only gets into Montreal at like 7pm on the 1st whereas I get in at about 8:30am.

But we're on, then, for the 2nd!

She's going to New Brunswick on this trip first (she's worried about her grandmother's and father's health), and then driving in with her friend. I'm flying right from Whitehorse to Montreal.
