Tangled & Pi

We just watched Tangled, which is quite possibly the worst movie I have seen in a long, long time. Omg, it was SO AWFUL. On multiple levels. Terrible, terrible movie. :O
We then watched Pi, which I had seen once, in another lifetime. I can't say it was anything like I remembered 'cause I didn't remember it at all. It's a very short movie, and such a weird one. I think between this, Black Swan, and The Wrestler, I've had enough Darren Arenofksy for the next little while. Mike and I both agreed that so much more could have been done with Pi, because the subject matter is really, really interesting, and as Mike said, they barely scratch the surface of that.
We also caught up a bit more on Arrested Development. We're about half-way through season 3, which is a point in the series when the show is still funny, imho, but reeeeeaaaally starting to lose steam.

Time for bed now. I feel positively awful.

El oh el!! This is the first wholly negative reaction I've seen to Tangled! What didn't you like about it?

The characters are annoying as $#*% (except the villain, she was OK), the music is tuneless and atrocious, one song is completely ripped off an old Disney classic (the main ballad is basically the same melody as A Whole New World with a few different notes here and there, even some of the lyrics are the same), the humour is old-fashioned (NOT in a good way), slapsticky and dumb, and the whole thing feels plain and empty and souless and OMG SO MUCH HATE FOR THIS PIECE OF CRAP.

Ben really wants to see Tangled for some reason. I hated the Princess and the Frog, so if this is worse, I might just gouge out my eyes. :P
