I am fucking illlll. This flu will simply NOT leave my body. Instead of getting better, I feel like I'm getting worse! What in the fuucccck. I called in sick yesterday, and I actually had to talk myself into doing so. That's a good sign that I love my job, eh? :D Makes me happy, that I think that way. But still. UGH. Today I was still really sick and dragged myself in anyhow. Another teacher told me I should have stayed home, but I didn't want to take off 2 days in a row. I was bored at home, because I felt too sick to enjoy anything like chatting or video games or reading. So I might as well be at work. Besides, I genuinely do enjoy being at my school. :) Also, Thursdays are fairly short days for me, so yay.
Tomorrow's gonna be SUPER short, 'cause my one class on Fridays is canceled due to a school trip, but I have to go in anyhow to monitor an exam in the afternoon. Might as well take advantage to being in the school and get more lesson-planning and corrections done!
I am sweating so hard right now. I don't think that's a fever, though. This apartment is just too hot. Unlike our place in Verdun, we do NOT get to control the heat. So it's like a sauna in here. Usually we just leave the windows open so we can breathe. What a frakking waste of electricity/energy/power/whatever. I can't wait until we get our own house! That's gonna be awesome. I can't wait. Gotta get married, do the JET thing, and then it's time to settle down FOR GOOD.

Date: 2011-01-14 01:05 am (UTC)But right now there's a non-serious (just incredibly annoying & uncomfortable) flu going around here in Montreal. A lot of my friends have it and I have the same thing they got. It should go away in a few days, fortunately!
Thank you very much for the kind words & concern though, and your adourable and sweet icon is awesomely appropriate and makes me feel a teeny tiny bit better because...well, that's self-explanatory! <3

Date: 2011-01-14 11:31 pm (UTC)We'd love to stay downtown but don't have the $ to get a house here, obviously, because we aren't doctors, lawyers, or mafia. Soooo we're thinking Hochelaga or Lachine. (I hate Lachine with every fiber of my being, but, it's better than say, the Waste Island.) We'd have to stay as close to downtown as possible because Mike's work is in the Plateau.
I'd love to live in LaSalle, because at least there's a metro there and it's REALLY easy & quick to get downtown from there. But I don't know how affordable it is!
