Little and Broken, But Still Good

If it's like the one I went to here, it's going to be an expo filled to the brim with booths featuring venues, caterers, bridal shops, photographers, registry companies, florists, etc etc etc. There will probably be a fashion show of some kind, and lots of free swag! I went to one here in September which was overwhelming but lots of fun, and I'm going to another one on Jan 15th. WHICH reminds me. There's going to be one here in February called Wed By Hand, which features all indie and eco-friendly vendors. It's on Feb 6th, so if you can get away for a Sunday you should totally come up and go with me!

Do you still have your Concordia ID/is it still valid? Greyhound is 50$ return if you have student id. Yeah, I'm def making an effort to keep it as green as possible. Some of the budgets I've seen online have made me go WAIT, WHAT! WHO SPENDS THAT MUCH ON A PLATE OF FOOD?! and I feel the need to do something to counteract all that cosmic weirdness lol!

Yesss to the green. ;) I mean, I'm not gonna all hippie on everyone and be like, "DON'T FLUSH THE HOTEL TOILETS UNLESS IT'S #2 YOU GUYS"*, but I don't want any balloons or plastic bags to be used, no rice to be thrown (it can kill birds who eat it, and gods know we have enough birds dying this week, eeek!), and I will try my hardest to have decorations made with recycled materials and have lots of vegetarian options for the food...stuff like that. ^_^

*This is something that actually went on at a hippie house Mike went to once. :P

Ah, I agree! I'm hoping I like the last season better the 2nd time around, too. But so far, the longer it's been, the more bitterly I remember it. :/ eeek. We'll see how it is when I actually watch it though.

Howeverrr....I've been joking that when I rewatch it, I'll stop at the end of season 5! :/ (I won't really do that though.)

Yeah I remember I really, really loathed Season 3 at the start, but on rewatch things that I remember going on FOREVER were like... three episodes long and really not that bad. So I am hoping for a repeat of that!

Right now the tilde grief is still too near tilde to pick up season 6 again- but I'm sure someday I will.

Sometimes, the more I think about season 6 the more bitter I feel. It's not only that so much of it was slow and boring, but there's so many things about it that make me angry *now* that didn't bother me before. It's weird. It's like the exact opposite of the remembering the past with rose-coloured glasses effect, or whatever that expression is called. ;P

On a completely different topic: you and your icons. Omg. You really have the coolest, most awesomest icons. I love them! <3

I am the same way! I think it's more frustration, like they had EVERYTHING going into the season. So much stuff that had been set up and awesome, and they literally threw it all away to have everyone sit in the jungle. I couldn't believe the amount of sitting! But then when people did stuff, it was like Sun not being able to speak English. I seriously can't believe that happened on a show like LOST!

And aww! Thank you! It's my Ben harem. If you ever need an icon of something, let me know! It might take me a year and a half, but I love making them.

Yessss. Well, I remember reading your journal during season 6--it was like crack to me! Every Wednesday after school, I'd make my coffee and take a break online before lesson-planning, and one of the first things I'd read was your Lost review. You write SO much better than any of the other blogs I'd read (though of course I will always have a soft spot for Ack Attack!--but then again, who doesn't?!). <3

Ah, OK. And yes, I am. Sort of. We're gonna do a video game-themed wedding, but it's not gonna be 100% video game-themed, ya know? I mean, I'll be wearing a normal brides' dress and Mike will be wearing a normal suit, etc., but we're getting either a Super Mario or Zelda wedding cake and I want to make a Space Invaders dessert arrangement. Of course there will also be some other small video game decorations, but nothing too extravagant. ;)
