One of the AWESOME things about growing up means getting a job, which means getting paid, which means ALL THE VIDEO GAMES YOU WANT. When I was a kid I was absolutely obsessed with Bonk's Adventure but didn't own it, as my parents refused to buy me a Turbo-Grafx 16. I had to be content with playing it at Radio Shack when I could.
But now that I'm grown up I can buy anything I want, so when I moved out several years ago, I totally bought a bunch of old video games, Bonk being one of them.

Tonight, for the first time ever, I beat the game. I have waited 19 years to see the ending to this game and omg it was SO CUTE. I am so excited! Finishing a beloved video game at age 29 isn't any less exciting than it was at age 9. ;)
If I didn't have this flu, I would totally buy a bottle of (cheap) champagne to celebrate this. I'm not kidding.
Maybe I'll buy one to drink when I'm rid of this flu!
I feel so accomplished and giddy right now. The 9-year-old me is alive and well and totally excited and happy! KYYAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH. <33333
