EPIC HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I went to an EPIC Halloween party last night. Epic. EPIC. There is no other word to describe it. I have been raved to about Kenty's parties (and his awesome apartment HOUSE) for awhile now, but now that I've finally experienced it for myself, I can say that it's all been understated. What an amazing place and party that was. I don't have the words. Kenty was an awesome host, and that's putting it mildly. What a genuinely sweet, kind, awesome person! I <3 that guy, SO much. Everyone else there was so cool, also! What a bunch of chill, fun people.

Oh, except for the couple that showed up in BLACKFACE. What the everloving FUCK. Why why why would ANYONE think that's okay?! They seemed like nice enough people, just...just....completely and utterly ignorant and clueless....ughhhhhh.

Other than that stupidity though, all I gotta say is, GOOD STUFF.

I left the party around 3-3:30-ish and got to bed at 6 AM. o_O I woke up at 1 in the afternoon and now I've had my coffee and a sandwhich and feel a bit more "with it". I gotta run out to the dollar store and pick up some water pistols, for tonight is ROCKY HORROR!!! YAAAYYY-HAYYYYY!!!

Yup. He was supposed to be Lionel Richie, as if that were an excuse. I was Macy Grey for Halloween when I was twenty, and even at that age I wouldn't DREAM of colouring my face to look black because I knew it was WRONG. -_-;;

UGH, douchebags thinking they're SO risqué and original. Let's build a time machine so that they can see what the slaves were treated like and how black people were considered inferior beings until not that long ago and how incredibly hard their lives were! Oh but no, they don't know that. They're concerned about the newest Indie movie and $90 leggings at American Apparel. GAH!

It's fucking ignorant as all fuck! Last year there was an uproar around Halloween because some people in Montreal dressed up in blackface (I can't remember where). And you know what a lot of them say? "Well, it's not supposed to be racist!" Yes, as if WHITE PEOPLE have a right to contradict what black people say is racist. Uggghhhh. I've been face-palming so hard over this, you have no idea! :(
