I've heard people say that if feels like they broke up with someone last night. I agree with this soooo much! That is EXACTLY the feeling I'm having. It felt like I just broke up with someone and I'm glad we ended it but it's still got that weird empty-ish "OK, gotta start anew!" vibe to it, ya know? Ha! That is spot-on. XD

Ditto on talking about only Lost for a while! All I've managed to do well today is look up viewer theories on The Fuselage and ontd_lost, and it's like 100 degrees in my apartment and I had the leftover pringles and a cheese sandwich for dinner. :p

It's so, so, so hot. I feel all blerghghhhh.

I HATE THIS WEATHER. I am *NOT* looking forward to teaching tomorrow; it's going to be 32C, and of course, elementary schools don't have air conditioning! THE KIDS ARE GOING TO BE INSANE. Luckily, I rented a movie for *most* of my classes, so that ended up being really lucky timing. ;)

I still feel odd about it. It was a wonderful ending, but it's over now. I don't think it's completely hit me yet. No more trying to figure out what's going to happen. Whatever happened on the island and with the ones on the plane, we'll never find out about.

The most fun part about Lost was the speculating, and the way they ended it that's not going to stop now. I'm pretty sure most the remaining questions were asked in the first place with a plausible answer in mind so you can still come up with theories about them. You could compare the Island to a magic show. If the magician explains how all his tricks work, it's suddenly a lot less fun. But despite all that, I still really want to know what the fuck is up with the Dharma food drop.

That is actually a J.J. Abrams example. He has a box of magic tricks on his desk that he never opened. It's a reminder to him that the mystery of the trick is what makes it so compelling.

Yes! I've heard the JJ Abrams quote, too. And it makes *perfect sense*. :)

I'm totally 'at peace' (LOLOLOL) with the ending. I get it now. It makes sense (to me). I'm going to write a post about it. This show means so much to me and as much as I miss it, I'm happy it was in my life for so long. Also:

"You could compare the Island to a magic show. If the magician explains how all his tricks work, it's suddenly a lot less fun"

I agree with this so much, you have no idea. I'm glad I'm not stressed about finding answers anymore, like I used to be. The talk we went to last Thursday pacified me about that a LOT. The stuff Darlton said made me see the show in a different light, and I love it even more now.
