The Plateau is love

I've been catching up on True Blood and holy crap this show is getting crazy all the sudden! XD
(We just finished watching episode 7 of season 2, for anyone who might be curious...)

Apartment hunting went very well today. I can't figure out why so many people have told me it's impossible to find a good deal in the Plateau unless it's rat infested. I wish I could say that Mike and I are just really good at finding places, but all we do is get out there and explore. Maybe people rely on the internet too much? I dunno. Anyway, there's so many awesome apartments out there--and no, they aren't covered in cracks and rats and bugs! Right now we've found a lot of stuff that's available too soon though. A lot of what we've found thus far seems to be available now or March 1st. We're aiming for May or maybe even June. April if we absolutely have to. So far every search we've been on has been really encouraging though. I can't wait to get out of HERE.

True Blood was pretty good last season but the whole Marianne thing (if thats her name, it's been so long) got old to me after a while.

When I eventually move, I'm looking to stay in the Plateau area or possibly Mile-End. Anything close to the metro or the 80. I don't have the money yet, but I have a verbal lease so I can cancel with just 1 month's notice so I have an advantage there. Anyway the Plateau is great in oh so many ways I'm sure you'll find a cute place and love it here.

So I take it the landlord's okay with cancelling at any time?

I'm not sure yet what the landlord thinks because I still have to send the letter. I've been putting it off because I keep changing my mind about the date I want to move out. I'm sure it won't be a problem considering so many tenants complain about us (and now a mailman too!), so yeah. But of course I won't apply for a place until I have the landlord's OK in writing.

The Plateau rocks! And that's an understatement. I can't wait to be a part of it. <3
