Okay, so the first 6 minutes of the season premiere have been released (and actually as of the time I'm writing this, so has the entire episode--but let's not talk about THAT) and I refused to watch it, but then Mike went to watch it and there's NO WAY I was going to be OK with him being spoiled and not me, so I took 5 minutes and watched it, too.

And how anti-climatic that was! Out of 4 minutes and 16 seconds, there was maybe 4 minutes of flashbacks and 16 seconds of new footage. :P

Anyway, did anyone else watch it? [livejournal.com profile] urbangeo, I know you did, obviously.

What did you think?

WHY CAN'T IT BE TUESDAY NOW?! :P

Did you hear that Obama wanted to pre-empt Lost with his state of the union address? And in the end, he decided not to?

There was a HUGE uproar about that online, and a bunch of fans made a website to try and stop it from happening. Evidently it was quite successful. The clips from ABC with the the media asking about Lost were HILARIOUS and AWESOME. ABC's White House corespondent even said, "You'll have to ask the Dharma Initiative about this!" IT WAS SO AWESOME AND FUNNY.
It's really, really thrilling to see people from "so high up" being obvious Lost fans, OMG. :)

Us Lost fans are a special kind of crazy. ;)

THANK YOU!!! Everyone was going nuts over the clip, and I just did not understand why. I mean there is almost nothing new.

The amount of new stuff:

Rose: You can let go.

Jack: I guess we made it.

Rose: I guess we did!

(Or something to that effect.)

THAT'S IT.

Of course, people have been pointing out everything that's different--Jack's hair, the fact that the stewardess gives him 1 bottle of vodka instead of 2 (someone on [livejournal.com profile] ontd_lost said it's because he won't have to use one to try and clean Kate's wounds? Interesstttiiiiing); apparently the plane also looks different and the stewardess now has an American accent when apparently before she had an Australian one.
Also, Rose reassures Jack rather than the other way around.
I must be really unobservant 'cause I didn't pick up on ANY of this. :(

LOL @ them trying to make it look like a reset though, since we all know that's NOT what it is. ;)

"actually as of the time I'm writing this, so has the entire episode"

WHERE?!

Uh-oh! LOL
I'm not sure where you can find it, but last night the premiere of the episode (shown at the apparently annual Hawaii Lost Beach Party) was streamed live online. I'm sure someone somewhere found a way to "record" that (or whatever form of technology is used to do such things nowadays).

You really should join [livejournal.com profile] ontd_lost and check that stuff out. Be warned: there are a lot of REALLY annoying people there, and that's an understatement. :s But there's a lot of really cool people there too, and of course, all the info and spoilers you could ever hope for (and gossip about the actors too, if you're into that kind of thing, haha).

I can't find anything online so I'll just wait. Even if they streamed the episode itself the quality will suck.

I joined ontd_lost. It's a bit crazier than the lost_tv group, and it kinda reminds me a the GBS forum on SomethingAwful.com.

Have you seen the new previews that have come out or are you avoiding them? Seems to be a lot more complicated than I thought it would be.

I haven't watched the new previews, no. I'm debating it. They're spoilerish, but at the same time they're official, so how spoilerish can be they be?

What do you mean by "more complicated" than you thought it would be? Have you seen them? Do they reveal a lot?

I've seen them. There's a 3 minute clip of what happened after Jacob died which isn't spoilery. The promos are more of a mishmash but I still don't really know what's going on.

Hard to explain the "more complicated" part without going into details.

I managed to find the live stream of ep1 and a high quality version of the episode is out on BitTorrent which I'll be downloading once I get home from work in the morning.

Darn, turns out someone was playing a prank and the Livestream has horrible quality so I'll probably just wait until Tuesday night.

I caved and watched the first episode of the premiere through the recorded livestream. The quality was pretty bad (ie you can't hear everything they say) but it was good. Definitely some OMG! moments in there. I'm looking forward to seeing episode 2 on Tuesday.

I watched the promos because as much as they "reveal", I don't think they count as spoilers because they're official.
And OMG THEY WERE AWESOME.

I've only heard good things about the new episode so far. Can't wait to watch it (along with part II)....TOMORROW!!! Oh, how good it feels to say "I can't wait to watch the new episode of Lost TOMORROW."

I'm not going to be sleeping for the rest of the WEEK.

Yup, the site doesn't lie:

I'm looking forward to it and I'll probably rewatch it several times like I usually do.

Lost is a really good show to re-watch several times, both because it can sometimes usually be confusing the first time around, and also, every time you watch it, you notice something that you didn't notice the first time around, or you pick up on clues, etc.
