Okay, trying to focus here. Gotta get my lessons planned somehow. :P

First though, I'd like to mention that I FINALLY saw Avatar last night. In 3-D, on the Imax. Now that's a fun ride! The story is just embarrassingly bad, but who the hell is seeing it for the story? ;P To say what everyone else is saying, that it's "visually stunning", is a bit of an understatement. WORK OF ART is more like it. Seriously, it's a special effects and animation MASTERPIECE. It should be highly respected for that because my GOD it is ever breathtaking to look at. It better win some awards, dammit. <3

Secondly, I've had such terrific, awesome, wonderful, lovely conversations over the weekend with terrific, awesome, wonderful, lovely people. archdiva and oo_maya_oo, you rock my world! ^__________^

Went to Stogies on Sat. night and had five Appletinis. I couldn't resist, they were so yummy and the glasses were all fancy schmancy. Felt like shit for the next 48 hours. What are your Appletini stories?

I sure did! It was pretty packed, omg yes. I went to buy 5 tickets together (IMAX has assigned seating) a little more than 5 hours before the showing, and it was nearly sold out! The only place left for 5 people together was the 2nd row from the front, on the side. It was still a great view though; maybe not the best view, but still great! None of us had a single complaint about it. :)

The audience was strraaaangely super-quiet and super-respectful. Seriously, it weirded me out. No one made a PEEP during the entire movie, not even to munch on something. I couldn't even eat my chips 'cause I was too paranoid to be the only one making noise.
Seriously, I had never sat with an audience like that, except for when I saw The Dark Knight in Japan. But that was Japan, so that can't be allowed to count.

i saw batman twice at scotia and it was excellent, but it was near the end of the run. my therapists says i have to stop avoiding situations with lots of people, but i told him he was crazy!

Japanese people (at least at the movie theater I went to) sit through the end credits and watch them in silence. The entire audience. The entire end credits. It was fucking weird. :/
