In case someone reading this hasn't seen season 5 yet: Why can Hurley's voice be heard reading The Numbers when Rousseau's team arrives on the Island in the early 90s? o__O

I'd actually seen this elsewhere before seeing it on ONTDLost. It kind of makes sense to me though, because if the numbers started out as just being a plain ol' serial number and Hurley saw that and knew they were something more...and then some big reset button is hit and such...maybe Hurley started his own vicious circle, the way Faraday start's Charlotte's and his own! 15 DAYS!
It's highly, extremely possible that Hurley started his own vicious circle (like Faraday did with Charlotte, as you mentioned), but the creators already promised there won't be any kind of reset (thankfully!). There's lots of different situations that could occur that would result in Hurley having recorded himself saying the numbers. It's mind-boggling trying to envision them! ;)
Haha, I saw this on ontd_lost. It was a really popular discussion (http://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=en&source=hp&q=hurley+voice+the+numbers&btnG=Google+Search) during the season. I was really hoping it would come into play, like somehow in some past Hurley recorded them and he was the maker of his own misery, in theme with the show (like Faraday up there, or any of them- Sayid shooting Ben). I was kind of sad when nothing seemed to come of it that season.

I didn't realize Alex was born in the 80s. She's supposed to be 16 when they meet her, right? Then again, if the plane crashed in 2004 and she's 16 at the time, that means...she was born in 1988! You're right! That's so weird!
I never heard it myself but everyone's been talking about it online.
Maybe Hurley did record it when he was with Dharma, although they never showed that happening. Either way, I hope they don't abandon this all together! I want it explained, dammit! lol
