"Miss, your head is a cat!"

I'm so happy to have collected so many animal-eared hats over the years and other such childish things, because it really makes the kids at school flip out. When I was doing yard duty yesterday, I was wearing my wonderful bear-eared hat from Genki Gang and one of my grade 1 students saw me and yelled at me MUCH too enthusiastically, in English: "MISS! Your head! Your head! Miss Marina! Your head is...YOUR HEAD IS A CAT!"
Eh, you had to be there.

My students are soooooooooooooooooooooooooo obsessed with Michael Jackson. I've finally decided to appeal to THAT particular fascination of theirs and am working on a Michael Jackson lesson plan for my grade 5 and 6 groups. There's tons of Michael Jackson lesson plans online, believe it or not, but all the ones I've looked at were much too advanced for the majority of my students. So I'm making my own and I'm centering it on my personal favourite Jackson 5 song, I Want You Back.
It's difficult but fun to put together, so far. I'm not sure how this is going to turn out though!

Also, I was just chatting with my ex on MSN about how budgies smell. My life is so weird sometimes! But then again, everyone's is.
