The spell is broken!
Jan. 2nd, 2010 10:49 amThe spell is broken! The spell of having shitty New Year's Eves. I had the first New Year's Eve that wasn't absolutely horrid for the first time since 2003. For those who don't know, I always always get sick on New Year's, and if I don't, then something goes terribly wrong. Or both. But not this year. This New Year's was amazing! So I guess the spell is broken. :)

Thank you so much to everyone who came. We were SO lucky; MY NEIGHBOURS WERE AWAY FOR NEW YEAR'S! (They're back now though, boo!) My party sorta continued into the next day--
rilms slept over (as did Paul, but he left at the crack of dawn) and me, him, and Mike spent an awesome day watching Family Guy, Point Break, Angry Video Game Nerd, and smoking and snacking. In the evening we ordered pizza and watched Something, Something Something Darkside (again!) and Masters of the Universe, for which we were joined by
shadaloo and Nat. Gooooood times, though I was very tired.
I am so happy to have introduced Mike to AVGN, because he's never seen it before and I knew he'd love it. We watched a bit more of it after everyone left last night and the 2 of us laughed so hard we were flat-out CRYING. ;)
Good, good times. Joe's coming over tonight. I don't want the holidays to end!

Date: 2010-01-03 05:46 am (UTC)I am glad you had a good New Years!
Something about LOST!
BTW: I knew I had to add you because of all your entries about your neighbors. I have a neighbor who just got a GF who is a SCREAMER. And there was a period where their sexing would wake me up (as they started up) at 3 and 4AM on weekdays. I could hear everything. Orgasms, position changes, speed. When he got up to wash. When she did the same. The would also play music and television SO LOUD.
It was weird because he was always super quiet (he's been above me for about a year), but got a GF and lost his mind.
I would pound the wall when it would go and other neighbors who didn't even share walls said they could hear it all too. Finally I just went and complained. So far it's been good, but it makes you SO stressed out and paranoid when you see the light on above. 'Am I going to have to listen to THAT again?'

Date: 2010-01-03 05:07 pm (UTC)Btw, I was JUST showing your artwork to my fiance, and he was REALLY impressed. We both love Ben, so...mwahahha. ;)
I was looking through your journal and saw one of your entries about the neighbours. :( It's certainly a common problem with apartment living, isn't it? It's gotten to point where I'm frustrated nearly to tears. It's awful. It just stresses you out all the time, ya know?
I absolutely cannot WAIT until we can afford a house. It won't be for a good, long while, but omg when that day comes it will be AMAZING.
