My good news, it is very good news indeed. The teacher who I was replacing? She called our school today to say that she's extending her maternity leave until the end of the school year. So the post is mine, all mine, all the way til June! I don't have to worry about going to Chateauguay or hoping to find enough subbing work or ending up at some weird shitty school with a shitty staff or crazy principal or anything like that. I just get to stay at my cozy school where the staff rocks, the principal is 30 million kinds of awesome, my schedule kicks all kinds of ass, and teach students who I've already gotten so close to. :D

I told my grade 4 group today and one of my grade 5 groups and they all went, "YAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!"

One of my students let off one of those in my lesson. Fortunately the student with severe asthma was off that day. We moved to another room, but I made him spend his playtime in the original room, which still stank.

He wrote me a very eloquent apology letter and hasn't done it again.
