I just came back from a sixteen-hour day working at the Elections.
Sixteen hours! 8 am to midnight. Apparently I'll be getting $175 for it.
Yeah, soooooo not worth it. o_O; I'm never doing that again!

I'm still glad I did it 'cause I REALLY need the cash, but WOW.

I'm too tired to think straight. Thank the gods I don't work tomorrow!

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, WHAT???!?!

For just being the helper? Are you sure? :/ 'Cause all I did was greet people/check their feuille de rappel and accompany the candidates when they were doing *their* greetings to make sure they didn't talk to any of the electors, and then wait and do nothing for four hours after the polls closed while the secretaries or whatever they're called counted their ballots. Are you sure you're not talking about them? Because they made a lot more than I did. I don't know HOW much, but I know that my post put me at the bottom of the pay scale. :/

Well, at my polling place, there were 3 positions: supervisor, voting officer and voting administrator (and that's in order from highest-rank to lowest). I was a voting officer, and that was my pay. The administrator that I worked with though only got something like $50 less than me. :/

Btw, I wanna keep saying "Welcome to the Yukon!", but that doesn't make sense 'cause I'm not there. I wish a word existed for saying "welcome" when you're not in the place you're welcoming the person to.
