Soooooo, who else has really weird & crazy dreams when they're sick? I know dreams in general tend to be pretty strange no matter what, but don't you find they take on a whole extra level of absurdity when a fever is ravaging your brain? (I'm sure the flu meds have a part in this too!)
My dreams tend to often have whole storylines, different characters, etc., but that crazy dream world always goes to a whole new level when I'm sick. Last night's dream was more of a nightmare, but it was pretty cool at the same time because it involved who else but the DOCTOR!
:D
I'm writing this down here for myself so that I don't forget, so I'll put it under a cut!

I dreamt that these aliens (that were a combination of the angels, the Tocalfane and the fat monsters) were taking over the city I was living in...not sure if it was supposed to be Montreal or not, but Mike and I were getting help from the Doctor (Ten, who was companion-less) who was telling us how to, and helping us, avoid the aliens. You had to stay in a place with NO spaces for them to enter, but they could enter from ANYWHERE (like, even underneath doors and stuff) so wherever you were staying in hiding, you had to make sure it was 110% sealed.
At one point Ten made us a hide-out in a backyard that somehow had the correct parameters to avoid the aliens. One of the things that the backyard had for us was a pet tiger!
Toward the end of the dream Mike and I went back to what was supposed to be our apartment (it wasn't the apartment we have IRL, that's for sure). We had left it in someone else's care, and we had only been gone for 2 days. When we got back, I found that my snow-white budgie had died. It was 2 years old and I was REALLY upset at the person who was supposed to have looked after our place (and pets). I don't remember who that was though.
One of the strangest things was that the budgie had a red spot on its chest, as if someone had shot it with a teeny-tiny little budgie-sized gun (lol, wtf?). I remember being so upset that I didn't want to touch the body, and left it in its cage (which was covered) to worry about later. But I knew eventually I was going to have to deal with disposing of the body, no matter how unpleasant it was. Knowing I'd have to go back and deal with it was such an uncomfortable, nagging feeling that stuck with me through the rest of the dream.

Also, the building was run by a landlord who was about our age, maybe a bit younger. She randomly started to try and do renovations to our apartment, and we FREAKED out because she had opened the door, thus possibly giving the aliens a chance to enter.

I'm pretty sure there was a lot more, but as is always the case with dreams, I don't remember everything.
When I woke up I was soooo relieved that we weren't actually under attack by aliens, and I didn't have a sad little budgie body to dispose of. :( The feeling of having to do that in the dream was so intense though that even after I woke up I had to tell myself it really was just a dream and there was no dead bird anywhere in the apartment. Weiiiird how dreams can be so intense like that! o___O

I say this every once in awhile on what is probably a semi-regular basis but, I really should start another dream journal for myself. I used to have on back in 2002-2003, but it would be kind of weird to revive it now with an almost ten-year gap within it, not to mention that it's on Pitas and I'd rather use LJ!
