Summer is made of AWESOME!
Aug. 1st, 2011 12:54 pmNow that Macbeth is finally up on stage, Mike has his mornings and afternoons free again, plus Mondays off. SO YAY, I CAN FINALLY SPEND SOME TIME WITH HIM. :) However, he also had yesterday off, and we decided to go shopping at Promenades St-Bruno. We took a wrong turn (it's a really tricky place to get to from Montreal!), and ended up seeing signs for Chambly. I've always wanted to check that town out and see its historical sites, so we decided to do that. It was SO FUN. It was a beautiful day yesterday (though a little hot), so it was the perfect day for it. We saw the Chambly Fort, walked along Old Chambly, and had omelets on a cute little terrace at this place called Dame Tartine. Soooo much fun! Then we went to the tourist center and picked up a tourist's guide to the Monteregie area and saw there was a cornfield labyrinth in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. I've always wanted to check out a cornfield labyrinth! So we drove on to St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and did the labyrinth, which was silly fun. :D Then we decided to check out the rest of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu while we were there since neither of us had ever been there before. What a cute, quaint little town! We drove down to the waterfront and ended up having drinks on a riverfront bar on one of the docks. It was SO PRETTY and SO NICE. I love it there! We're planning on going back there in a couple of weeks to check out the hot air balloon festival. That should be pretty cool! :D
The only problem is, I wish I had brought my camera! Obviously I didn't have ours on me, 'cause why would I bring a camera to go to a shopping mall? lol. Oh well. Mike took a few nice photos on his phone, so at least we got those. ;)
After we got home, we had supper and some wine and headed down the street for the last night of the Just For Laughs. It was a loooot of fun, omg. I LOVE SUMMER SO MUCH!!!
Today he has a little bit of paperwork to do, but we're thinking of going for a drink on the rooftop terrace at Hotel de la Montagne and enjoying the sun. :D Also, Tali's back from Toronto (yay!) so she's coming over tonight as we've got a lot of catching up to do. Also, it's high time for another Lost night, so we're definitely gonna do that tonight! YAYYYY! It's been so long since we last got together for one, so we're gonna have to search through the DVDs a bit to remember where exactly we left off last time, haha. We're somewhere near the beginning of season 2, that much I know. XD
I keep saying it, I know, but I feel I can never say it enough times--YAY SUMMER!!! <3
