The 'main' gift I got Mike for Christmas (every year I get him a 'main' gift plus lots of smaller 'side' gifts) are tickets to the Nutcracker Suite. :D Neither of us have ever gone and every time the ads were on this year, Mike would say he how he wanted to go. So tonight's the night! I'm excited. And you know what? It's at Place-des-Arts, which is literally a five-minute walk away. We live pretty much directly behind it; you can see Place-des-Arts from our balcony, actually! XD
OMG I LOVE LIVING IN THE PLATEAU. <3

I feel so fat, I've been eating non-stop this vacation. But you know what? I wear these Holiday pounds with PRIDE, bitches! They're a sign of how lucky I am to have wonderful family and friends to feed me. It's a sign that they have enough money to spend on gratuitous amounts of food. It's a sign that I have enough money to spend on gratuitous amounts of food! It's basically a sign of how lucky and privileged I am and trust me, I am grateful for it.
Also, I don't want to spend my vacation worrying and obsessing over every little thing I eat. *That's* not a vacation! Besides, in January when I start eating normal again, I lose all the weight I gained anyway, so yay!

Omg hope you had an amazing time - this year is the first in a long time that I haven't been able to go to the Nutcracker. :( I went every year as a child, and I LOVE it. Gaelan is not so much for the ballet, but next year I'm going to go with my mother in law. He can sit at home and eat plum pudding or something.
