bee_york | Boom boom boom boom...taiko!

I went to a Haiti fundraiser yesterday at the Japanese Cultural Centre and got to see an awesome taiko drum demo. It was AMAZING. You can feel that in your bones and it's just so awesome, so TRIBAL, so....so Japanese. I loved it. I want more!
Afterwards there was apartment-hunting in Mile End and chai lattes at Le Cagibi (yay! I've FINALLY gone) and then Mike and I split ways since he had to work and I went home. I had to wait SO FRAKKING LONG for the 55, but what just *happaned* to pop up on my ipod whilst waiting for the bus? The BSG soundtrack! TAIKO DRUMS GALORE! I turned the volume wayyyyyyyyyy up and omg, did that make waiting for the bus so much less suckier. :D

I woke up this morning to chocolate and a flowers delivered right at our door. Mike is the frakking best! Today is his last show (a matinee, whoo!) and then he's finally FREE. He's taking me out tonight for sushi for our V-day supper. Suuuuuch a treat. <3 This is our first Valentine's together as a real couple, so it's quite exciting.
It's also so exciting that he's finally done his show. We finally have free time together! It's awesome!

Happy Valentine's Day out there to anyone reading this, and yes, that includes the single folk. :) As I tell the single people every year, use this day to pamper yourself! You already know you don't need an s/o to make you happy, so make yourself happy and eat and drink to your heart's content. Spend today doing something you enjoy. And remember that if you're single you're "on the market" so to speak, so who KNOWS what kind of exciting people you're going to meet later on and what fun you're going to have? You're unattached! Get wild! Think of all the adventures you have yet to have. <3

I finally have a new icon. The theme of tragic love! How ironic is it that I use it for the first time on Valentine's Day? ;)
