This is a post about Josh. Or, as some of you know him as, [livejournal.com profile] dzuunmod.

He rocks, quite simply. He used to live here in Verdun and omg it was awesome. Then he moved to CDN and it was STILL AWESOME. We hung out at LEAST once a week (usually twice a week though, but never less than once! haha) and ahhhhh good times like you wouldn't believe.
Then he moved to the Plateau for a bit and then he fell in love (yay! <3)and was gone to a small northen town in BC.
I was sooooo sad to see him go (and that's an understatement!), but I was also very happy for him because he was saying for a very long time how he wanted to live in the far north.
Less than a year after moving there, he got his wish EVEN MORE because he moved again, and guess where? To WHITEHORSE. That's right, my buddy Josh lives in the Yukon now and it's somewhere he's wanted to be for a long, long time and I am so happy for him. :D
But I still miss him SO much!
We had soooooooooooooooo much fun, OMG this man makes me laugh like no one else. He sees humour in the really weird, silly things that NO ONE ELSE understands. I think just about every single time I hung out with Josh, I'd end up laughing to the point of not being able to breathe. I love it so much when people laugh all the time. People who laugh a lot are some of my favourite people to be around. And Josh laughs a LOT.
And when he laughs, I laugh. It's impossible not to!
Laughing...I mean REALLY laughing...it's one of the best feelings in the WORLD. And if you try and argue that, you are insane.

I was just about to post one of my favourite pictures of Josh so you can see what this awesome man looks like, but then I realized doing that without asking him first would be kind of rude. But I was going to post a picture of him from Mike's going-away party before we left for Japan in August of '08.
Speaking of which! PARTIES!
Every time I have a party...EVERY TIME...I keep thinking how he should be there! I can't think of a single party I had while we knew each other that he *wasn't* at.

Anyway, in conclusion: JOSH ROCKS! xoxox

Did you learn something, Josh? If someone's going to praise me publicly, then they better be prepared to expect the same thing in return! ;P

Marina, that is the cutest post i have ever seen! More posts like these should be made. We don't tell each other enough that we appreciate together.

I'd like to add that I love Josh too!!!!!!

I first encountered Josh when we were moderators at Scarleteen. He was always very astute with his advice. We have remained in contact ever since, mostly through LJ. We occasionally disagree but I think that is because my youth was lived in what was really another world from today (I'm more than twice his age). But he is a good guy. he wrote of Whitehorse over ten years ago. I'm glad that he is living his dream.

It's funny that you mention that because I enjoyed writing this one so much, I was thinking of making more of them!

I'm glad you liked it. :)

It's funny to know someone so long over the internet. Well, maybe 'funny' isn't the best word, but it's certainly really neat. Have you guys ever met?

Unfortunately, I have never met Josh in real life. My favourite picture of him is his hugging Youpie and I mourned the Montreal Expos with him. I was in Toronto when he was in Montreal and Ottawa. I moved to Stirling in 2003 and it turned out that we both had interests in the nearby town of Campbellford. I have a number of close online relationships mostly formed during my days at Scarleteen. I am very happy for Josh on how is life is turning out. Not everyone gerts to live their dream.

Incidentally, my first wife was a teacher (still is, actually)so I have some knowledge of your experiences.
