All right, down to business! ;)
Feb. 4th, 2010 12:22 amI should have been in bed 2 hours ago, but I'm awfully awake for some reason. (Maybe the frappucino I had earlier has something to do with it?!) So I figured I'd come here to talk about last night's epicness in a bit more detail. More importantly, I want to know YOUR thoughts.
There is WAY too much to cover here, needless to say. So for now, just some major points that popped into my head.
In the LAX timeline
First of all, WTF sunken Island. When and why and how did that happen?!
Desmond's on flight 815 in this reality? WHAT? Why?! And where did he go?
I hope you guys were as happy to see Charlie and Boone and Claire as I was--even though I knew they were coming, it was still SO awesome to see them! I freaked out with each intro of each character. I miss real Locke. :/ (Did he lie about the walkabout or did he really go on it in this reality?)
The airport losing Christian's coffin is all kinds of fucked-up. The story can go SO many ways from here, OMG. o_O
In the still stuck on the Island timeline
Ah, Juliet. :( I never liked her, but I didn't want to see her die. At least she got some more time with Sawyer. But..."it worked"? What worked? The bomb? How did she know? And if that's what she meant, then why did she just rant about how it *didn't* work, minutes before?
And that coffee comment she gave Sawyer. Did anyone else think about how Charlotte started babbling about chocolate to Faraday just before she died? It turned out that's what she said to him the first time she met him on the Island when he told her never to return, hence starting her paradox. I was wondering if any of this was similar for Juliet in anyway. Maybe her and Sawyer end up meeting in the past but it just didn't happen yet. (No other show except for Lost could a sentence like that even make any sense, lol.)
I also thought of Libby and Desmond getting coffee together in season 2, but I honestly don't really think that has anything to do with anything, really.
Okay, enough about Juliet. The temple was all kinds of awesome, wasn't it?! And how cool was it that Sayid rose from the dead? Contrary to popular belief, that's NOT Jacob possessing him or using his body or whatever. The creators of the show said so themselves!
Another awesome thing about the Temple? THE JAPANESE DUDE! I couldn't catch ALL of what he was saying but I did understand some of it. It was funny to me when Sayid died, the Japanese guy said, "Kare ga shinda" (he's dead) and there was this long dramatic pause before John Lennon translated for everyone and said, "Your friend is dead." Because I didn't need the translation, the pause for me seemed silly in a way. XD
Yeah. John Lennon. Why is John Lennon part of The Others?
OMFG SMOKE MONSTER. They confirmed what everyone knew all along, but STILL. It was cool to see. "Sorry you had to see me like that." Whoa. But how depressing was it, that Locke's final thought was "I don't understand"? That is just AWFUL.
But why and how does the Smoke Monster/Man in Black know Locke's thoughts? o_O
And he wants to go home. Wherever home is. Ohhhhh, my god. OK.
"It's nice to see you out of your chains, Richard." We all thought he was a pirate on the Black Rock...turns out he was most likely a prisoner. Hmmmmm.
Oh, speaking of Richard--it was pretty fucked up when he threw Ben into Locke's body and Ben realized that man who manipulated him wasn't Locke after all.
I have sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much more to say, but this'll have to do for now, I gotta be up in less than six hours, ouch.
