Yes! Honestly I stop watching after auditions and the narrowing down to the top 12 then tune back in for the finale unless I really like a contestant but yay for a fellow fan. :D

I LOVE the auditions, but I always sort of fade out during Hollywood week, unless someone I really love makes it to the semi-finals. I don't think I've watched to the end since Carrie Underwood's season, but I always start out with the best of intentions!

I got hooked on auditions two years ago. I swore I'd never do it to myself again, but then Canadian Idol rolled around ... so we're driving across the country over the summer, and every Idol night, I RUN into the hotel room to YouTube the performances, just to keep my hand in. Then January, and I was right back where I'd started.

I get so emotionally involved. So, yes, I'll be there. It's bad for me (I laugh, I cry, I say things I don't mean to the TV), but so's beer and cigarettes and bacon cheeseburgers and I'm not giving those up. I'll be a day behind you, though, because I'll have to wait for the torrents to download.

YES! I figured you were one of them--I have vague recollections of you commenting on a post I made about it last season, but I wasn't sure.

I am of similar attitude in that I'll stop watching in between the top 12 and the finale unless there's someone I really like, but fortunately seasons like that are the exception for me, rather than the majority. :)

It's hard NOT to watch the auditions! I know a lot of people who hate the show but tell me they'll watch the audition part. It's just a big, beautiful train wreck. A lot of the time I'll think the judges take things WAY too far and I'll feel bad for the contestants, but I lol and watch anyway, so I guess I have no right to bitch about it! ;)

Did you end up buying the Dharma Initiative special edition/whatever version of season 5? I STILL haven't seen in any in stores but I'm seriously considering just buying it off Amazon. Although it's over $100 that way, soooo...I dunno. :/
