Good news upon more good news? Mike just got a job with Equity. This is what he's been looking for ever since he graduated, because once you're with Equity, you start earning Equity points. Once you have 6 points, you can take Equity jobs in the United States. For those who aren't aware, that's been a major goal of ours for years now--we want to live in New York City. If we can get a job elsewhere in the US, even if it's not NYC, it just makes it that much easier to get to NYC, ya know? ^_^
Between Mike's new job and, well, OUR RELATIONSHIP, we have sooooo much to celebrate. We spent the evening bar-hopping in the Plateau, it was glorious.

We had so much to talk about and we still do. He wants to come to Japan with me. But he can't leave the Equity job, needless to say. Now going to Japan without him would be even more nightmare-ish, because if I didn't want to part ways with him before, can you imagine how I feel about that *now*? Ha. So we're thinking I'll teach here in Quebec for a couple years, save up my money while he saves his money, and THEN go to Japan, so if he can't find work there (or at least, not right away), we'll at least have my income PLUS the money we've BOTH saved up. Anyway, it's worth looking into, at the very very very least.
We're also looking into moving to the Plateau, which only makes sense. We've both spent the ENTIRE summer in the Plateau (no exaggeration) and it's just pointless to stay in Verdun when we take the metro to the Plateau daily. Not to mention that we're paying WAYYY too much for our current apartment (it's going up to $745 in October, and NO ONE pays that much for a frakking 4 1/2 in VERDUN), and we can save $$ by moving, not to mention we no longer need a 4 1/2. We're going down to a 3 1/2 because having an extra bedroom is useless for us now. So there's LOTS of money and TRAVEL-TIME to be saved here. I'm very excited. I'm going to go pick up a newspaper tomorrow and check that shit out! For today I'm going to cruise Craiglist.
I'm not 100% sure we're doing this THIS year, and what doesn't make it any easier is that we only have 2 weeks left to send registered mail to say that we don't want to renew our lease in October. Eeeeek!

Omg, it's so hot in my apartment right now, I can't stop sweating...so gross, lol!

HELP!

Does anyone know how to save your desktop wallpaper to your computer? I'm absolutely OBSESSED with my current wallpaper and want to save it so I can keep it forever and ever (and perhaps print it out!), but I have no idea where I got it from. If it's my wallpaper, it's got to be on my computer somewhere, right? How would I find it?

If all else fails, does anyone know of a way I can find out when and from where I uploaded the picture from to make it my wallpaper? I don't know much about computers, but it sounds to me like something a computer would keep track of!

I hope someone can help. I'm going CRAZY here. I'm supposed to be downtown getting my hair done and running errands at the pharmacy and getting some exercise, but I can't concentrate on anything until I can figure out a way to make sure I don't lose this picture!
I just want to leave my house already, godsdammit!!!

Solved! I found something on my computer called a "library" and it was a big list of websites I had visited. So I took another half-hour and went through them all until I found the site with the pictures in question. :) So yay I have my pics now! But booo, now it's too late to go see MY hairdresser, and I don't trust anyone else with my hair, so now I have to wait until tomorrow. For FUCKS sakes, man! Having OCD fucking SUCKS!
